Product Overview

The level switch is hailed as the “end of fork technology” and has become the ideal solution for many applications. This series of level switches offers a distinct advantage: it remains “blind” to any viscous media adhering to it. With its adaptive triggering function, Smart Level has now far surpassed tuning fork technology—it automatically adjusts to various media types without requiring any parameter settings. Due to the probe’s shallow insertion depth, the level switch has a negligible impact on the production process.

Application Areas

There are as many sensor requirements as there are types of media. Application areas include dry-run protection for pumps, reliable overflow protection or leak detection, and selective detection or suppression of foam or interface layers. JC is the first in the industry to meet all these application requirements with a single sensor technology. Whether dealing with bulk materials, powders, liquids, or foam, and regardless of the medium’s viscosity, this product handles them all with ease.

Point Level Detection

Regardless of the medium type, the Smart Level level switch reliably and accurately detects the point level of media in tanks, vessels, or pipes. This enables early detection of pump dry-running and prevents media overflow.

Detection of Foam and Separation Layers

With its zone triggering function, the Smart Level level switch can also detect separation layers, such as beer/foam or oil/water separation layers. It reliably detects media and accurately distinguishes between different liquids. The graphical display ensures that production processes can be traced and optimized more efficiently.

Dry-Run Protection

Dry-running is a serious process issue that can lead to measurement errors or pump damage. Thanks to its short response time, the Smart Level easily handles this challenge. Additionally, the rapid issuance of a shutdown signal helps save significant resources.
